Our Angel is no drag queen
nor had he visible wings.
With love of life and others,
he dreamt of many things.
Our Angel did depart
we thought long before his due.
But I shall state it plainly,
an Angel-very true.
Our Angel's heart was weary
with life weighing him down,
perhaps I never thought
that he would never be around.
Our angel was such a light
and lived with such zest
Perhaps I will find relief
that now he is at rest.
Our Angel had a love for life
but only time could tell,
perhap our Angel already
had loved and laughed too well.
We see this faded light as
no more life to live,
but knowing our Angel,
maybe, he had no more life to give.
So with humble heart we mourn,
the soul that is freed.
And in our hearts we know,
he was an Angel indeed.
(And with 1000 bitter tears, we cover you.)
